About The Park
The Fulton County Camping & Recreation Area is made up of 440 acres which includes approximately 150 acres of water. The campground provides; a shower house, a fresh water pump and sanitary dump station, all of which are in operation from May thru October. Dumpsters and trash cans are provided for the convenience of our campers and guests. We do ask all campers and guests to please obey all speed limit signs and watch for children, wildlife and golf-carts.
All lakes in the area are strip-mined lakes with the exception of Little Sister Lake which is a natural creek-fed impoundment. The major lakes are managed by IDNR, with on-going stocking happening annually. The lakes in the campground contain large-mouth bass, channel catfish, bluegill, redear, and crappie as well as muskie. Fishing limit signs are located at each boat ramp and at the front entrance area by the information pavilion which is located just inside the campground entrance. Maps may be picked up at the information pavilion or at the office.
Please feel free to fish off of any bank or from your boat. Private docks that belong to seasonal campers will be mark with lot numbers. If the campers are around, you may ask permission to use them but otherwise they are not for the public. Public access docks and cleared banks are being added around the campground, check them out as they become active. These public access docks and banks are for all to use.
